"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" is a fucking classic, like "Naked Lunch".

Many of the books by Kurt Vonnegut function tragic and unfortunate people. You might want to try to "Dead Eye Dick," "Bluebeard" and "Slapstick".

I have three books of fiction for you.

The Painted Bird - For a child suffering from terrible things. I've never been sure that this should be a horror novel, but it was terrible to imagine what has happened and the child has some pretty fucked up people in it. It is a dark story, but the sad part is, it really happened. Not suitable for children older subjects.

Cruddy - is written for a young player, Cruddy, but still cares for some terrible things. The result is a very young and slept with all the people who really screwed his life. It is murder, theft of money, betrayal and a sad story for the coming years. There are photos on the desktop and occasionally writing a diary meant for the lead role, and tellsGate.

The Outsider - by renowned writer Richard Wright, this book is a classic. There are questions of racial identity, freedom of the individual against collectivism, murder, love and the desire to escape the expectations of society / roles. She was aware that not written by a porn star and "serious" literature, not fluff, but good read.

You can "The Collector" by John Fowles. It is a kind of obsessed with the abduction of a young woman's problems. The book is concerned that this story from their perspective and their view of things ... and that, even if thick: D
